Peakime Community Guidelines

The standards that keep creators, readers, artists and fandoms safe — while protecting the creative freedom that makes Peakime worth building.

Effective 11 August 2026 Last updated 11 August 2026 PeakCraft Studios Private Limited

Peakime is a platform for stories, art, entertainment, creators and the communities that form around them. Creative expression can be uncomfortable — a crime novel can contain murder, a horror story can contain disturbing imagery, a fictional character may express hateful views. Stories can explore war, trauma, sexuality, mental illness, discrimination, addiction and politics. The fact that something appears inside a fictional or artistic work does not automatically mean the creator endorses it.

Our responsibility is not to remove every difficult idea — it is to protect creative expression while setting clear boundaries around conduct and content that creates serious harm, violates rights, exploits people, or undermines the integrity of Peakime. These Guidelines apply across Peakovels, Peakart, Peakime TV, Peakpen and Peakbrush where shared functionality applies, Peakit, CraftyPeak, PeakAI Studio, Panels, FANOA community features, comments, profiles and messages — and work together with the Peakime Terms of Service.

Context matters

Fiction, satire, journalism and criticism are assessed differently from real-world harm.

Zero tolerance

No exceptions for child sexual exploitation or abuse material, in any form.

Recommendation ≠ hosting

Eligible content can remain available while being ineligible for broad recommendation.

Appeals available

Eligible enforcement decisions can be reviewed with additional context.

Creative Freedom & Safety

1. Creative Freedom and Context

Peakime reviews content in context. A fictional depiction of violence is different from a credible threat against a real person. A villain expressing racist beliefs is different from a user organising harassment against a community. A novel discussing suicide is different from a user encouraging another person to harm themselves. A historical depiction is different from propaganda intended to recruit people into real-world violence.

Context can include the nature of the work, artistic purpose, educational value, documentary purpose, satire, criticism, newsworthiness, surrounding text, audience, and the way the material is presented. Peakime may use age restrictions, warnings, or recommendation limits instead of removal where content is legitimate creative expression but inappropriate for every audience.

2. Protecting Children

Peakime has no tolerance for the sexual exploitation or abuse of children. Users must not upload, request, distribute, solicit, promote or facilitate child sexual abuse material or other sexual exploitation involving minors, or use Peakime to groom minors, sexually solicit them, extort sexual material from them, or facilitate trafficking or abuse. Artificially generated, manipulated or fictionalised media does not create a loophole where applicable law or Peakime safety rules prohibit the material.

Accounts involved in serious child-safety violations may be permanently terminated without a prior warning.

3. Sexual Content and Intimate Privacy

Peakime may support mature fictional or artistic content where appropriate to the relevant Service, audience, age classification and applicable law. However, Peakime does not permit non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual extortion, or the distribution of private sexual material without required consent. Users must not create or distribute deceptive sexual deepfakes or comparable synthetic sexual media depicting an identifiable real person without lawful authority or consent, and threatening to publish another person’s intimate material is also prohibited.

4–5. Violence, Threats and Violent Extremism

Creative depictions of fictional violence can be allowed — real threats are different. Users must not use Peakime to make credible threats of serious physical harm, coordinate real-world violence, or target identifiable people with genuine threats. Graphic material may be subject to content warnings, age restrictions or recommendation limitations, and Peakime may remove or restrict content where its presentation primarily glorifies, encourages or facilitates serious real-world violence.

Peakime must not be used to recruit for, materially support, organise on behalf of, or promote participation in legally prohibited terrorist or violent extremist organisations. Historical discussion, journalism, counterspeech, academic analysis and fictional depiction are different from operational promotion or recruitment, and context is considered.

6–7. Hate, Dehumanisation, Harassment and Stalking

Peakime allows users to discuss controversial beliefs, religions, political ideologies, history and social issues — criticism is not automatically hate speech. However, users must not use Peakime to seriously dehumanise protected groups, advocate real-world violence against people because of protected characteristics, or organise targeted hateful abuse. Fictional, educational, documentary, satirical and counterspeech contexts may be treated differently from direct attacks against real communities.

Disagreement and criticism of a novel, creator, artwork or opinion are allowed — users do not have a right to be protected from all criticism. But Peakime must not be used for sustained targeted abuse, stalking, repeated unwanted contact, doxxing, coordinated harassment or threats, and users must not publish another person’s sensitive private information to intimidate, threaten or expose them to harm. Peakit provides blocking, muting, comment controls and reporting to help manage interactions.

8–9. Self-Harm, Dangerous Behaviour and Privacy

Peakime allows responsible discussion of mental health, suicide, addiction, eating disorders, self-harm and recovery — these subjects may also appear in fiction. Peakime may intervene where content directly encourages a vulnerable person to seriously harm themselves, provides dangerous instructions creating a serious risk, or deliberately glorifies severe self-harm in a manner that threatens user safety. Supportive discussion, recovery experiences, fictional treatment, journalism and educational content are assessed in context.

Do not use Peakime to expose another person’s highly sensitive private information without a lawful reason — home addresses, private phone numbers, identity documents, financial credentials, authentication information, or other material that could expose a person to fraud, stalking or serious harm. Even publicly available information may be restricted where it is being assembled or distributed specifically to facilitate targeted harm.

10. Impersonation and Deceptive Identity

Peakime supports pen names, pseudonyms, fictional personas and artistic identities — what is prohibited is deceptive impersonation. Do not pretend to be another creator, public figure, company, Peakime employee or organisation in order to mislead users. Fan accounts, parody accounts and commentary accounts should not deliberately misrepresent themselves as official accounts, and Peakime may require clearer identification where an account creates a meaningful risk of confusion.

Integrity & Content Standards

11–12. Fraud, Scams and Artificial Engagement

Peakime must not be used to defraud other people — phishing, stolen payment credentials, fraudulent fundraising, fake creator identities, misleading FANOA projects, payment manipulation, false giveaways and deceptive financial solicitations are prohibited. Users must not create artificial transactions designed to inflate Creator Earnings, FANOA support, rankings, Powerstones or perceived project popularity, and Peakime may restrict suspicious transactions while investigating fraud.

Creators are welcome to promote their work — promotion becomes abuse when users deliberately overwhelm or manipulate the platform. Users must not operate spam networks, send repeated deceptive unsolicited messages, automate mass irrelevant content, or operate account farms. Artificial reads, views, follows, likes, Powerstones or support contributions may be removed from platform metrics, and Peakime may exclude artificial engagement from recommendations, rankings, monetisation eligibility or FANOA performance.

13. Intellectual Property

Users must respect the rights of writers, artists, studios and other rightsholders. Do not upload stolen novels, pirated manga, unauthorised comic scans, plagiarised writing, stolen illustrations, leaked productions, or other material you do not have the right to distribute. Fan art, commentary, criticism, parody and other transformative uses can raise different legal considerations and are not automatically treated as infringement merely because another work is referenced. Detailed intellectual-property procedures are explained in the Copyright Policy.

14. AI-Generated and Synthetic Media

Peakime supports responsible creative use of artificial intelligence — AI-generated content is not automatically prohibited. However, synthetic media cannot be used as a tool for fraud, unlawful impersonation, sexual exploitation, child-safety violations, intellectual-property abuse or other prohibited conduct. Where required by Peakime or applicable law, users must appropriately disclose materially synthetic or manipulated audio, visual or audiovisual content, and Peakime may apply a label, provenance marker or other disclosure identifying content as synthetic. Users must not deliberately remove or falsify a required authenticity marker to deceive viewers. Creative AI animation, fictional synthetic characters and other lawful uses remain available when appropriately presented.

15–16. Mature Content, Age Classification and Serialized Works

Peakime is used by people of different ages, and some content is appropriate only for mature audiences. Where Peakime provides content-classification tools, creators must use them accurately — a mature novel, webtoon, illustration or video may receive an age classification, content warning, restricted preview, or recommendation limitation without being removed from Peakime. Creators must not deliberately misclassify mature content to expose it to younger audiences, and repeated attempts to bypass age controls may result in enforcement.

Rules apply to a work as a whole, not merely to individual uploads in isolation — a creator cannot circumvent Peakime rules by distributing prohibited material across multiple chapters or episodes. Peakime may review surrounding chapters, episode context, cover art, descriptions and related material, and creators should avoid misleading covers or previews that intentionally conceal the mature nature of the work.

17–18. Peakit Panels and Fandom Etiquette

Peakit Panels may support high-resolution artwork, multi-page posts, long-form visual material and document-style publication — the richer format does not create an exception to Peakime’s rules. A Panel may not be used to conceal pirated books, stolen comics, malware, doxxing, illegal imagery, or another prohibited item inside a multi-page file, and Peakime may process uploaded files for security, compatibility, preview generation and reliable delivery.

Not everything that creates a poor community experience is a serious policy violation — ordinary fandom disagreement or accidentally revealing a spoiler is different from harassment, fraud or threats. Peakime provides spoiler tools, blocking, muting and community controls for lower-level community issues, and ordinary spoiler disputes will generally not be treated like serious safety violations.

Moderation & Enforcement

How Peakime Moderates Content

Peakime may receive information about potential violations from user reports, automated detection, internal review, trusted safety signals, copyright notices and legally valid requests. Automated systems may help identify or prioritise content for review — automation does not mean every flagged item is automatically prohibited. Depending on the circumstances, Peakime may consider the content itself, context, account history, audience, severity, applicable law and potential harm.

Enforcement Measures

Peakime may take different actions depending on the violation. A lower-level issue may result in a warning or classification change; other measures include reduced recommendation, mature-content restriction, visibility limitation, feature restriction, content removal, monetisation restriction, temporary suspension or permanent termination. Peakime may also invalidate fraudulent metrics or transactions. Serious violations do not require Peakime to progress through every lower-level step first — a severe child-safety violation or deliberate large-scale financial fraud may justify immediate account termination.

Recommendation Is Not the Same as Hosting

Some content may be permitted to remain on Peakime while being ineligible for broad recommendation. Peakime may apply stricter standards to content its systems actively recommend to large audiences than to content users deliberately choose to access — preserving creative freedom without requiring every eligible piece of mature or sensitive content to be algorithmically amplified.

Monetisation Standards

The ability to publish content does not automatically mean that content must be eligible for monetisation. Peakime may maintain additional monetisation-suitability standards, so a creator may have content remain available while revenue features are limited for that content. Serious or repeated policy violations may also affect creator monetisation eligibility.

Reports, Appeals and Emergency Action

Users should normally report content through in-product reporting controls. For serious safety matters where in-product reporting is unavailable: [email protected]. For ordinary account support: [email protected]. For copyright: [email protected]. For formal grievances: [email protected].

Peakime recognises that moderation systems and human reviewers can make mistakes — where an appeal is available, affected users may ask us to reconsider an eligible enforcement action, reviewed using additional context, account history and user-provided information. An appeal is not a guarantee that the original decision will be reversed, and repeated identical appeals do not require Peakime to reopen a matter indefinitely after an appropriate review.

Where Peakime reasonably believes a situation creates an immediate serious risk to a person, or applicable law requires action, Peakime may act without waiting for the ordinary moderation process, preserving relevant information and cooperating with competent authorities where lawfully required or permitted.

Repeated Violations, Ban Evasion and Changes

Peakime may consider previous violations when deciding how to respond to new misconduct. Users must not create or use other accounts to evade an active suspension or permanent termination, and accounts used primarily to assist another user’s ban evasion may also be restricted.

Peakime will continue to evolve — we may update these Community Guidelines as our products, user communities, technologies and legal obligations change, with appropriate notice for material changes where required.

Creative Freedom, With Clear Boundaries

Peakime protects the space to tell difficult, honest, uncomfortable stories — while drawing a firm line around real-world harm, exploitation and abuse. These Guidelines exist so creators, readers and fandoms can trust the platform they build together.
