Law Enforcement Guidelines

Guidelines for law enforcement and government authorities seeking user data or content removal from Peakime, operated by PeakCraft Studios Private Limited (CIN: U59113AP2025PTC121270).

1. Our Commitment to Lawful Process

PeakCraft Studios Private Limited (operating as Peakime) is committed to cooperating with law enforcement and government authorities in accordance with applicable Indian law and, where relevant, international legal processes. We take user privacy seriously and will only disclose user data in response to valid, legally sufficient requests that comply with applicable laws.

We scrutinize all law enforcement requests carefully to ensure they are legally sound and narrowly tailored. We do not provide access to user data in the absence of valid legal process. We do not allow law enforcement to access our systems directly.

2. Types of Requests We Can Process

2.1 User Data Disclosure Requests (India)

For Indian law enforcement authorities, we process requests under the Information Technology Act, 2000 (Section 69), the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Requests must be submitted by a competent court or authorized officer with appropriate jurisdiction.

2.2 International Requests (Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties)

International law enforcement authorities must submit requests through established Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) processes or equivalent bilateral agreements between their country and India. We cannot comply with informal requests from foreign law enforcement without proper legal process routed through Indian authorities.

2.3 Emergency Disclosure Requests

In genuine emergency situations involving imminent risk to the life or safety of a person, we may, at our discretion, voluntarily disclose limited user information to law enforcement without formal legal process. Emergency requests must provide sufficient context to demonstrate the imminent risk. Emergency requests: [email protected].

2.4 Content Removal Orders

We process valid court orders and government directives to remove or restrict access to specific content under the IT Act, 2000 (Section 69A). All content removal orders are reviewed by our legal team before action is taken.

3. What Data We Can Provide

Subject to a valid legal process, we may be able to provide:

  • Basic account information (username, email address, account creation date).
  • Login logs (IP address, timestamp, device information) for the retention period.
  • Transaction records for in-app purchases (purchase history, not raw payment instrument data).
  • Content published by the account.

We do not retain: Raw credit card or banking credentials (payment data is handled by Apple, Google, or Cashfree under their own compliance frameworks). We do not access end-to-end encrypted user communications.

4. How to Submit a Request

All law enforcement requests must:

  • Be submitted on official law enforcement letterhead, signed by an authorised officer.
  • Clearly state the legal authority for the request (specific section of applicable law).
  • Identify the account(s) at issue with sufficient specificity (username, email, or user ID).
  • Specify the type of data requested and the time period relevant to the investigation.
  • Provide a point of contact at the requesting agency.

Standard Requests

Submit via email to:

[email protected]

Emergency Requests

5. User Notification Policy

Where legally permitted, we will notify the affected user of a law enforcement request before complying. We will not notify users if: (a) we are legally prohibited from doing so (e.g., by a court order prohibiting notification), or (b) the request pertains to CSAM, terrorism, or involves an imminent threat to safety where notification would obstruct the investigation or endanger a person.
