Creator Monetization Terms

Terms governing creator revenue, payouts, the Peakime Creator Program, and all monetization features across the Peakime Ecosystem. Operated by PeakCraft Studios Private Limited (CIN: U59113AP2025PTC121270).

1. Peakime Creator Program

The Peakime Creator Program ("Program") enables eligible creators to monetize their original content across the Peakime Ecosystem — including Peakovels (novels/webtoons), PeakArt (illustrations), PeakBrush (brush assets), and PeakTV (video content). These Creator Monetization Terms govern your participation in the Program and supplement the Master Terms of Service.

By enrolling in the Creator Program, you agree to these Creator Monetization Terms in addition to our Master Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Creators violating either set of terms may have their monetization privileges revoked.

2. Eligibility to Monetize

To apply for Creator Monetization, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age with a valid government-issued ID for KYC verification.
  • Have a verified Peakime account in good standing (no active strikes or suspensions).
  • Publish only original content over which you hold full copyright. You may not monetize content that infringes third-party IP, contains plagiarised material, or violates our Community Guidelines.
  • Meet the minimum content threshold for the relevant sub-platform (e.g., minimum chapter count for Peakovels, minimum follower threshold for PeakArt).
  • Provide valid payout bank account information or UPI ID for INR payouts (India-based creators) or approved international payment method for international creators.

3. Revenue Streams Available to Creators

3.1 Locked Chapter Revenue (Coins)

Creators on Peakovels may lock premium chapters behind a Coin paywall. Readers spend Coins to unlock individual chapters. Revenue from Coin unlocks is shared between the creator and Peakime at the applicable split ratio stated in your Creator Dashboard.

3.2 Power Stones (Fan Support)

Readers may send Power Stones to creators as a form of appreciation and direct support. Power Stone revenue is converted to creator earnings at the applicable exchange rate and paid out on the standard payout schedule.

3.3 PeakPass Subscription Revenue Share

A portion of PeakPass subscription revenue is distributed to creators whose content PeakPass subscribers read or watch during the billing period. Distribution is proportional to engagement (reads, watch time, interactions).

3.4 Creator Merchandise (Physical Goods)

Eligible creators may list physical merchandise (prints, books, apparel) for sale on the Peakime merchandise platform. Revenue from physical goods is shared after deducting production, fulfilment, and platform fees at rates stated in your Creator Dashboard.

4. Revenue Share & Payout Policy

4.1 Revenue Split

The exact revenue split ratio applicable to your account is displayed in your Creator Dashboard and may vary based on your creator tier, content type, and active promotions. Revenue splits are applied after platform processing fees (including payment gateway fees from Apple, Google, or Cashfree) are deducted.

4.2 Minimum Payout Threshold

Creator earnings must reach a minimum payout threshold (displayed in your Creator Dashboard) before a withdrawal can be initiated. Earnings below the threshold accumulate and carry forward to subsequent payout cycles.

4.3 Payout Schedule

Payouts are processed monthly for eligible creators who have met the minimum payout threshold. Payouts are subject to a 30-day holding period from the date of earnings generation (to account for potential refund resolution on physical goods).

4.4 Taxes & GST

Creator earnings are subject to applicable Indian income tax withholding and GST as per Indian tax law. International creators are subject to applicable TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) at rates mandated by DTAA (Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements) between India and their country of residence, where applicable. Creators are responsible for their own tax compliance and reporting obligations.

5. Creator Ownership & Copyright — Our Pledge

Your Work is Yours. Always.

  • ✓You retain 100% copyright and intellectual property ownership of all your original content. Enrolling in the Creator Program does not transfer any IP rights to Peakime.
  • ✓You may publish your work on other platforms simultaneously or exclusively, subject to any promotional exclusivity agreements you voluntarily enter into.
  • ✓You may remove your content from the platform at any time. Any earned, unpaid revenue for that content will still be paid to you on the next payout cycle.
  • ✓Peakime will never claim authorship of, or attempt to commercialise or license, your content to third-party studios without a separate, explicitly negotiated, and fully compensated written agreement.

6. Content Quality & Anti-Plagiarism Requirements

Monetizing creators are held to higher content standards. In addition to our Community Guidelines:

  • All monetized content must be 100% original — no rephrased, translated, AI-generated-from-plagiarised-sources, or otherwise non-original content may be monetized.
  • Verified plagiarism in monetized content results in immediate withdrawal of monetization privileges, forfeiture of pending earnings from infringing content, and permanent account termination.
  • We actively scan published content for plagiarism using fingerprinting technology. Creators are responsible for ensuring their content is original.

7. KYC & Identity Verification

To receive payouts, you must complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. Required documents may include:

  • Government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, PAN Card for Indian creators).
  • Valid bank account or UPI ID for INR payouts.
  • PAN Card for TDS compliance (Indian creators).

KYC data is collected and processed in strict compliance with India DPDPA 2023 and our Privacy Policy. It is used solely for identity verification and tax compliance purposes.

8. Program Suspension & Termination

Peakime may suspend or terminate your Creator Program access if:

  • You violate the Master Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
  • Verified plagiarism or IP infringement is found in your monetized content.
  • You engage in fraudulent activity including fake engagement or chargeback abuse.
  • Your account fails to maintain good standing.
  • Your KYC documentation is found to be fraudulent.

Any earned, legitimate, unpaid revenue accrued before the date of termination will be paid out on the next payout cycle, provided no outstanding fraud or chargeback claims exist. Revenue derived from infringing content may be forfeited.

9. Changes to Monetization Terms

We may update revenue split rates, payout thresholds, or other terms with 30 days' advance notice via email and in-app notification. Continued participation in the Creator Program after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
